Well, this is a hard blog to write. Life has thrown us a curve ball and it looks like we will be stationary (for now).
Without getting into too much detail, a family member needs us. We’ve decided to stay in Gastonia, NC, for an undetermined amount of time to monitor the situation with said family member.
The RV is going into storage this weekend (sad face) now that we’ve gotten it mostly cleaned out. Just a few things left to pull out of the bays.
We plan to make the best of it by spending most weekends hiking, biking, kayaking, rafting…visiting the mountains and the beaches and everything in between. Our ability to range far and wide is somewhat limited but thankfully we have a BIG list of places to visit (or re-visit) here in the southeast.
Yes, “an undetermined amount of time” is very vague. We have lots of questions that don’t have answers (like: When will be back on the road traveling? Should we keep the motorhome or sell it and get something smaller? Should we let Hobbes be an indoor/outdoor cat again while we are stationary? Do we buy furniture? How will we get used to not living in amazing places?). See? SO. MANY. QUESTIONS.
But, time will tell. For now, we are having different adventures and will still share them with you. Thanks for being part of our tribe!
